Bits Horse Tack
Bits are a device placed in a horse's mouth, used for control or communication. Metal is the most popular material for manufacturing Bits Horse Tack today, although other types of material such as rubber or plastic are sometimes used. Contrary to popular belief, Bits Horse Tack do not rest on the teeth of the horse, but on the gums in a space behind the front incisors and in front of the back molars. It is important that the style of bit is appropriate to the horse's needs and is fitted properly for it to function properly and be as comfortable as possible for the horse. Taken from Wikipedia.

The Mikmar training bit operates through leverage, with the addition of nose pressure. As the rider applies pressure to the reins, this unique design disperses pressure to the nose, mouth (bars and tongue), chin and poll areas, instead of to only one focused area. It is to be used with a leather curb strap or a curb chain.
